FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Elizabethtown Forward Brandy Espenshade Selected to Play in NCAA Division III North/South Senior Field Hockey All-Star Game ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College forward Brandy Espenshade (Grantville, PA/Lower Dauphin) has been selected by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches' Association of America) to play in the 2002 Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game. The NFHCA Division III North/South Senior All-Star Game will be held at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. Saturday, November 23 at 5:30 p.m. Espenshade joins 18 other student-athletes selected to play on the South team. A total of 38 players were picked from across the country to play on the North and South teams, as well as eight alternates. Espenshade currently leads Elizabethtown with 13 goals scored, and she has two assists for a team-leading total of 28 points in 14 games played. Over the course of her four years at Elizabethtown, she has racked up 31 goals and 13 assists for a total of 75 points. Elizabethtown is currently ranked 19th in the nation in NCAA Division III and has a 10-4 overall and 5-2 Commonwealth Conference record. The Blue Jays will play their final game of the regular season Saturday on the road in a non-conference contest against Wilkes at 1:00 p.m. Etown has clinched a berth in the conference playoffs, which are set to begin Wednesday, November 6, time and place to be determined. |
