Etown's Chris McCrea Named to All-Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse First Team

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Chris McCrea (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown), a sophomore defender on the Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team, has been named to the 2003 All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) first team.

McCrea earned a spot on the All-MAC second team last year. In 2003, he started all 14 of the Blue Jays' games and recorded 56 ground balls, placing him second on the team. He also scored one goal. The Elizabethtown defense allowed just 94 goals in 14 games this season for an average of 6.7 per game. The team also recorded a lacrosse defensive rarity this year, defeating Drew in a 5-0 shutout.

The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team completed just its second season of competition in 2003 with a 7-7 overall record and a mark of 5-4 in the MAC in finish in fifth place, one position shy of a playoff berth.
