Elizabethtown College Junior Kelly Miller Named Commonwealth Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College junior midfielder Kelly Miller (Robesonia, PA/Conrad Weiser) has been named the Commonwealth Conference field hockey Player of the Week for the week ending October 6. It is the second time in her career that Miller has earned the award, as she was named the conference Player of the Week once as a first year in 2001.

Miller scored two goals and assisted a third in Elizabethtown's 5-0 win over conference opponent Albright Saturday as the Blue Jays snapped a nine game losing streak. It was just the third time this season Etown had scored more than one goal in a game, and only the second time the Blue Jays had scored more than two.

Miller currently leads the Blue Jays in goals scored with four and points with nine. She was a member of the All-Commonwealth Conference second team as a first-year in 2001.

The Elizabethtown College field hockey team is currently 2-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Blue Jays will next face conference rival Juniata at home Thursday, October 9 in a 3:30 p.m. game.
