Elizabethtown Senior Megan Halladay Named to NSCAA All-Region Women's Soccer Team
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior sweeper Megan Halladay (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA) All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team in women's soccer for the 2003 season. It is the second time in her career that she has earned all-region honors, having made the third team in 2001.
A 2000 alumna of Strath Haven High School, Halladay is majoring in business marketing at Elizabethtown College. This year, she had one goal and one assist from the backfield while starting and playing in 17 of Etown's 18 games. Over the course of her career, she totaled 11 goals and two assists for 24 points while starting at sweeper for four years.
Earlier in the 2003-04 academic year, Halladay became Elizabethtown's first two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American in nearly a decade, and she was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree in 2001, 2002 and 2003. She was a three-time first team All-Commonwealth Conference player in 2001, 2002, and 2003, and she was a second team all-conference honoree as a first year in 2000.
The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team completed the 2003 season with a 10-6-2 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the Commonwealth Conference.
