Elizabethtown College Senior Track/Cross Country Athlete Chris Williams Awarded NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College senior men's track & field/cross country athlete Chris Williams (Dillsburg, PA/Northern) has been awarded the prestigious NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. Only 30 male athletes and 30 female athletes in all sports across all three NCAA divisions are awarded the scholarship in each season. He is the second Elizabethtown College student to earn the scholarship in the past three years.

Williams will use the $7,500 scholarship as he pursues graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and School of Business, where he plans to complete a master of international development degree and a master of business administration degree. Williams is majoring in business administration at Elizabethtown College.

Williams was an All-Middle Atlantic Conference Second Team member in men's cross country in 2004 with a 15th place finish at the MAC Championships. A captain of both the men's cross country and men's track & field teams, he won a MAC title in the indoor distance medley relay for Etown in 2003. He is also a nine-time member of the MAC All-Academic Team.

In the classroom, Williams was named the Outstanding Graduating Business Student for the 2004-05 academic year and is an Elizabethtown College Scholar. He has served on the College's Integrity Committee and has been a member of the Delta Mu Delta national honor society in business administration and the Alpha Lambda Delta national honor society for first-year students. He earned the Financial Executive International Outstanding Student Award, the James B. Hoover Business Scholarship and the Emma G. Musselman Foundation Business Scholarship at Elizabethtown College.
