Elizabethtown College's Justin Griffey Selected to Play in North-South Classic Men's Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College senior midfielder Justin Griffey (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) has been selected to play in the 64th Annual North-South Classic. This prestigious senior all-star game in men's lacrosse, sponsored by STX and Geico, is scheduled to be played June 11 at SUNY-Cortland. Only 26 seniors are selected to each team.

Unfortunately, although Griffey has been selected to play in the game, he will be unable to participate as he will enter the Baltimore County, Md. Police Academy that same morning.

A four-year captain for Elizabethtown, Griffey was a two-time First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference midfielder for the Blue Jays in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, he tied for the team lead at Elizabethtown in goals scored with 28, and he tallied four assists to finish third on the team in points with 32. Four of his 2005 goals were game-winners, and he tallied 53 ground balls. In his career, he scored 69 goals, had 11 assists and totaled 80 points.

Griffey is the first Elizabethtown College player selected for the North-South Classic. Blue Jay head coach Chuck Maloy served as a coach in the North-South Classic in 2003.
