Etown Senior Liz Fretz Named to Womenslacrosse.com Weekly Honor Roll for NCAA Division III

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior attacker Liz Fretz (Parkerford, PA/Owen J. Roberts) was named to the Womenslacrosse.com weekly honor roll for NCAA Division III on March 7. It is the first time in her career that she has ever received the honor. Fretz scored 10 of Elizabethtown's 14 goals and assisted another last week as the Blue Jays opened their 2005 season with a pair of games.

Fretz tallied six goals and one assist in Etown's season opener, a 19-7 road loss to McDaniel College Thursday. In that game, she became the first Elizabethtown College lacrosse player ever to reach the 150 career goals scored plateau.

She scored four more goals in Saturday's 18-7 road loss to Montclair State University, thereby boosting her career total to 156 goals.

The Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team is currently 0-2 overall and will return to action Saturday, March 19 on the road at FDU-Florham in an 11:00 a.m. game, the team's first Middle Atlantic Conference contest of the season.
