Elizabethtown College First-Year Student Jenn Hawkins Named Middle Atlantic Conference Defender/Goaltender of the Week in Women’s Lacrosse

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College first-year goaltender Jenn Hawkins (Havre de Grace, MD/Havre de Grace) has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference women’s lacrosse Defender/Goaltender of the Week for the week ending April 30. It is the first time in her career that she has received the honor.

For the week, Hawkins had a 6.00 goals against average, a .625 save percentage, seven ground balls and two caused turnovers as Elizabethtown went 2-0 and clinched its first playoff berth in the five-year history of the program. In Etown’s 14-4 win over Wilkes Wednesday, she made six saves, had three ground balls and two caused turnovers. In Etown’s 11-8 win over FDU-Florham Saturday, she made 14 saves and had four ground balls.

Thus far this season, Hawkins has a 10.38 goals against average and a .513 save percentage. She has played every minute, 960 in all, of Elizabethtown’s 16 games thus far this season. She has totaled 175 saves.
