ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College women’s soccer players have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams. Moyer has now earned All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors three times in her career, as she was also an NSCAA all-region first team member in 2005 and a second team member in 2004. She is only the second Elizabethtown player ever to be an All-Mid-Atlantic Region team member three times in her career, and the first to earn the distinction since 1999. Moyer is also a four-time All-Commonwealth Conference honoree and a three-time member of the all-conference first team. In 2006, she totaled one assist from the backfield while starting and playing in 20 of Elizabethtown’s 22 games. In her career, Moyer totaled six goals, six assists and 18 points.
Russo has earned a place on the All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams for the first time in her career this year. She is also a two-time All-Commonwealth Conference selection, making the first team this year and the second team as a rookie. Russo was also named the Most Valuable Player of the 2006 Commonwealth Conference playoffs. In the 2006 season, she totaled nine goals, five assists and 23 points to rank second on the team in all three categories despite missing a pair of games. Over the course of Elizabethtown’s five-game postseason run through the conference playoffs and NCAA tournament in 2006, she scored four and assisted two of the Blue Jays’ seven goals in that span. In her two-year career, Russo has totaled 18 goals, nine assists and 45 points.
Dotterer has landed on the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region team for the second time in her career this year, as she was a second team member as a rookie in 2005. She is a two-time All-Commonwealth Conference First Team honoree, and she was also the conference’s Rookie of the Year in 2005. In 2006, she led Elizabethtown in goals, assists and points with 15, 8 and 38, respectively, while starting all 22 of the Blue Jays’ games. She also had a pair of hat tricks in consecutive games in the first half of October. In her two-year career, she has 23 goals, 14 assists and 60 points.
The Elizabethtown College women's soccer team completed the 2006 season with a 14-5-3 overall record and a 5-1-1 mark in the Commonwealth Conference regular season. The Blue Jays won the Commonwealth Conference championship, Elizabethtown's first conference tournament title since 1998, and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament. In the NCAA tournament, Elizabethtown went 2-1 and advanced to the "Sweet Sixteen" for the first time since 1997.
