Elizabethtown College Senior Frankie Puzzangara Named Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Pre-Season All-American in Men’s Lacrosse

Frankie Puzzangara '07.ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown Collegesenior men’s lacrosse midfielder Frankie Puzzangara (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) has been named a Pre-Season Honorable Mention All-American for NCAA Division III in the upcoming Face-Off Yearbook of Inside Lacrosse magazine. The list features 90 of the top lacrosse players in the country. He is the first Elizabethtown men’s lacrosse player to ever receive the honor.

Puzzangara enjoyed a breakthrough season for Elizabethtown in the spring of 2006. He was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Year as a junior and earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team in 2006. He set an Elizabethtown program record for most goals in a season with 47, and he tallied eight assists for a total of 55 points, the second-highest season total in program history. He also led Elizabethtown in ground balls with a program record total of 125, and he won a program single season record total of 156 faceoffs out of 250 attempts for a percentage of .624.

In his career, Puzzangara was also a member of the All-MAC Second Team in 2004 and in 2005. He ranks second at Elizabethtown in most career goals with 89, fifth in career assists with 28, fourth in career points with 117, third in career ground balls with 196, second in career faceoffs won with 162, and he holds the Etown record in career shots with 376.

The Elizabethtown College men’s lacrosse team has reached the semifinals of the Middle Atlantic Conference playoffs for the last three years in a row after playing its first season in 2002.
