Elizabethtown College Field Hockey Team Ranked 20th in NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College field hockey team is ranked 20th in the latest STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Coaches Poll, the NFHCA announced Tuesday.

The Blue Jays (2-2 overall), who opened the season tied for 15th in the rankings, slipped five spots after suffering back-to-back 2-1 losses to 16th-ranked Franklin & Marshall College and unranked McDaniel College.

Messiah College assumed the top spot in the poll after defeating previously top-ranked Ursinus College 3-2 on Saturday. The Falcons received 27 of 32 first-place votes in the rankings, while the Bears slipped to second with two first-place votes.
