Chad Piersol Named Commonwealth Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior forward Chad Piersol (Elverson, PA/Owen J. Roberts) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in men's basketball for the week ending Nov. 18, the conference office announced Monday.

Piersol scored a career-high 23 points in each game to earn Most Valuable Player honors as Elizabethtown won the Days Inn East Blue Jay Classic with victories over Penn State Berks (88-54) and Methodist University (86-76).

Piersol also averaged 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals for the Blue Jays, who won the Classic title for the first time since 2004.

The Blue Jays (2-0 overall) play at Marymount University on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
