Elizabethtown Track and Field to Compete at New Balance Collegiate Invitational

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Members of the Elizabethtown College men's and women's indoor track and field teams will be in action this weekend at the prestigious New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the New York City Armory.

A total of 12 Blue Jay athletes will compete in nine individual and two relay events over the two-day meet, which begins Friday afternoon and concludes on Saturday. In all, over 100 colleges and universities representing all levels of the NCAA, NAIA and junior colleges will send athletes to the eighth annual meet.

Scheduled to compete on Friday are senior Dave Bresnahan (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) in the men's 3,000 meters at 1:15 p.m., graduate student Lori Havrilak (West Grove, PA/St. Mark's, DE) in the women's 400 meters at 1:55 p.m., sophomore A.J. Farris (Edgewood, MD/Joppatowne) in the men's 60 meters at 4:45 p.m., sophomore Megan VanDenHengel (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cumberland Valley) in the women's 800 meters at 5:10 p.m., and senior Drew Graybeal (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) in the men's 800 meters at 5:50 p.m.

On Saturday, senior Erin Fisher (McEwensville, PA/Warrior Run) will be in the women's 5000 meters at 9:00 a.m., followed by junior Tiffany Kulp (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) in the women's mile run at 9:45 a.m and Farris in the 200 meters at 11:45 a.m.

Senior Kevin Clark (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham), the defending NCAA Division III champion in the indoor pole vault, will compete in the championship division of the pole vault on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. He is the only non-Division I vaulter in the field of 19 athletes, which includes entries from the University of Tennessee, the University of Texas, the University of Arkansas, Louisiana State University and the University of Kansas.

Elizabethtown will also compete in a pair of relay events, with the men's distance medley relay team of Graybeal, sophomore Kyle Grimm (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove), junior Dylan Rulander (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) and senior Ryan St. Clair (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) in action at 10:25 a.m. and the men's 4x400-meter relay quartet of Graybeal, junior James Munnelly (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East), Rulander and Grimm set to run at 12:45 p.m.
