Elizabethtown To "Think Pink" on Wednesday Night

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College women's basketball team will participate in the "Think Pink" initiative for breast cancer awareness in conjunction with its game against Albright College on Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Gymnasium.

The Blue Jay players will wear pink t-shirts during warmups and pink shoelaces in their sneakers during the game. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink as well in support of the team.

Pink T-shirts will also be available for sale after the game, and the team will also be accepting donations for the Jimmy V/Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association's "Think Pink" initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

The WBCA began "Think Pink" in 2007 as an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness in women's basketball, on campuses and in communities. In 2007, more than 120 schools unified for this effort and helped make the inaugural year of the WBCA's "Think Pink" a success.
