FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Field Hockey Places 15 on National Academic Squad ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. –-- The Elizabethtown College field hockey team has placed 15 members on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad, the NFHCA has announced. In addition, the Blue Jays are one of 83 Division III programs to receive the National Academic Team Award for having a minimum 3.0 team grade-point average during the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. To be eligible for the National Academic Squad, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. The Blue Jays were tied for the fifth-highest total of honorees among the 115 schools with at least one National Academic Squad member, trailing Vassar College (18), St. Mary's College of Maryland (17), and Amherst College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (16 each).
