Jared Auman Named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in Baseball

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior Jared Auman (Northumberland, PA/Shikellamy) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week in baseball for the week ending March 30, the conference office announced Monday.

Auman, the reigning conference Co-Player of the Year, led the Blue Jays to a 3-2 record last week by going 10-for-18 with eight runs batted in and four runs scored in five games.

He went 4-for-4 with three runs scored in an 18-11 victory over Muhlenberg College on Monday, finished 3-for-5 with three RBI in a 10-7 win over Widener University on Friday, and had an RBI single and a run scored during a five-run sixth-inning rally in a 5-4 triumph over Widener on Saturday.

Auman leads the Commonwealth Conference in batting average at .429 and has knocked in 19 runs for the Blue Jays (11-7 overall, 2-1 Commonwealth), who return to action on Thursday against Keystone College.
