Katie Foley Selected MAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College junior attack Katie Foley (Palmyra, NJ/Holy Cross) has been recognized as the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for the week ending April 6, the MAC office announced Monday.

Foley scored nine goals and added six assists as the Blue Jays earned a pair of MAC victories last week. She scored five goals and dished out three assists in a 24-3 win over Arcadia University on Wednesday, and added two goals and three assists in a 21-6 victory at Wilkes University on Saturday.

She also scored a pair of goals as the Blue Jays fell 9-8 in double overtime to nationally-ranked Dickinson College on Friday afternoon.

In addition to her 15 points, Foley also picked up eight ground balls, caused seven turnovers and came up with 12 draw controls during the week. She leads the Blue Jays with 36 goals and nine assists for 45 points in nine games.

The Blue Jays (5-4 overall, 2-1 MAC) return to action on Thursday at Lycoming College beginning at 4:00 p.m.
