Men's Lacrosse Places Three on All-MAC Team

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown College men's lacrosse team has had three players named to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference, as voted upon by the league's eight head coaches and released Wednesday.

Senior long-stick midfielder Gary Senese (Leonardtown, MD/Tatnall School) and sophomore midfielder Aaron Weber (Lititz, PA/Manheim Township) were first-team selections, while senior defender Eric Peifer (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) was a second-team pick.

The Blue Jays finished 6-8 overall and in fifth place in the MAC with a 4-3 league mark under third-year head coach Terry Corcoran.

Weber finished with 22 goals and a team-high 15 assists for 37 points this season. He scored at least one point in all 14 games, and scored four of his 22 goals with the man advantage.

In two seasons, Weber ranks fourth in program history in goals (57), third in assists (51) and fifth in points (108).

Senese and Peifer helped the Blue Jays compile a 9.89 goals against average while holding 10 of 14 opponents to 10 goals or fewer

Senese finished fourth on the team in ground balls with 40, and concluded his career ranked fourth in program history with 203 ground balls.

Peifer started all 14 games on defense, and ranked third on the team with 54 ground balls. His career total of 190 ground balls ranks fifth all-time in program history, just behind Senese.

Messiah College senior attackman Nick Ricucci was named Player of the Year, while teammate J.J. Miller received Rookie of the Year honors. Lycoming College head coach Bryan Anken was recognized by his peers as Coach of the Year.
