Etown's Bryan Hoy Named Men's Soccer All-American

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Elizabethtown College senior midfielder Bryan Hoy (Beaver Springs, PA/West Snyder) has been named a third-team NSCAA/Adidas NCAA Division III All-American, making him the first Blue Jay men's soccer player to earn national recognition since 1996.

Hoy, a team captain, started all 18 games for the Blue Jays in 2000, and ended up second on the team in points, scoring 11 goals and getting four assists for 26 points. A highlight for Hoy this season included a hat trick against Albright September 27.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Hoy scored 29 goals and had 20 assists for 78 career points. Hoy is also a four-time conference all-star.
Hoy is majoring in business at Elizabethtown. He is a 1997 graduate of West Synder High School.

The Elizabethtown College men’s soccer team finished the season with a 15-3 record. The Blue Jays came in second in the Commonwealth Conference and fell to Messiah, which went on to win the national championship, in the conference championship game, 2-1.

All-Americans are selected by the members of the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America (NSCAA).
