BLUE JAYS MANAGE DOUBLEHEADER SPLIT, FIRST WIN OF SEASON AGAINST YORK COLLEGE

YORK, Pa. --- Erin Reynolds tossed a three-hit shutout and Etown scored five times in the second inning to defeat York, 8-0, in the second game of their doubleheader on Tuesday. It was the first win for the Blue Jays (1-5) in 1998.

The Spartans (1-1) banged out 12 hits in game one, including three from Jeannette Tracy, to down Etown 6-2 in their season opener.

Melissa Reinhart and Kristy Kordich led the Blue Jays offense in game two with a pair of hits apiece while teammate Kristy Nowell knocked in two runs. Etown's Missy Grey rapped out a double in the nightcap for the game's lone extra base hit.

The Blue Jays open their home schedule with a doubleheader against Gettysburg College on Wednesday. Game time is 3 p.m.
