CASSERLY, MOYER LEAD BLUE JAYS TO DOUBLEHEADER SPLIT AT LYCOMING

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Michelle Casserly went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored and Angela Moyer tossed a four-hit shutout to lead Elizabethtown to a doubleheader split at Lycoming on Tuesday. The Jays captured game two, 8-0, after falling in the opener, 7-3.

Kelly Spence and Missy Grey each chipped in with two hits apiece as Etown (2-8) posted two runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth to make the game a five-inning affair. Moyer blanked the Lady Warriors on four hits to earn her first career victory.

In game one, Lycoming (1-1) jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings and cruised to the victory. Etown leading hitter Kristy Nowell went 2-for-3 to pace the offense while Kristie Kulesa came on in relief of Erin Reynolds and held the Warrior bats in check the rest of the way.

Etown returns to action on Thursday, March 26 with a single game at home against Dickinson. Game time is 4 p.m.
