ETOWN KEEPS POSTSEASON HOPES ALIVE WITH KEY SPLIT AT MORAVIAN; MILNES WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT DECISION

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Linda Milnes (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) tossed a five-hit complete game and Vikki Detweiler (Townville, Pa./Maplewood) tripled and scored two runs to help Elizabethtown split a key doubleheader with regionally-ranked Moravian in MAC Commonwealth League action on Saturday.  The Blue Jays (12-13, 5-3 MAC Commonwealth League) were blanked in game one, 5-0, but recovered to capture the nightcap, 3-1.

Jennifer Zemba (Library, Pa./South Park), Michelle Casserly (Sussex, N.J./High Point Regional) and Kristy Kordich (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) all knocked in runs in the game two victory to keep the Blue Jays' postseason hopes alive.  Becky Stroup tossed a three-hit shutout in game one for Moravian (18-10, 4-4) and struck out nine to improve to 8-4 on the season.

Melissa Reinhart (Bernville, Pa./Hamburg) went 3-for-7 to key the Etown offense while Kordich, Zemba and Kelly Spence (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) each ripped a double on the afternoon.  Milnes won her fourth straight decision for the Blue Jays, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while fanning eight to increase her team-best total to 84  K's on the season.

Moravian entered the game ranked third in the NCAA Division III East region.  Etown returns to action on Monday with a home doubleheader against Goldey Beacom College.  Game time is 3:30 p.m.
