ETOWN SPLITS DOUBLEHEADER WITH LYCOMING

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. --- Elizabethtown traveled to Lycoming Thursday and split the results of a doubleheader there. The Blue Jays won the first game, 4-2, but fell in the second, 6-4. Etown is now 5-3 overall.

Kristy Nowell (Wilmington, DE) pitched the first game and picked up the win. Nowell also had a double, the only extra-base hit of the day for Etown, and a RBI at the plate in the first game. Kelly Spence (Glenolden, PA/Interboro) hit two for four with one run, one RBI, and two steals.

In the second game, Spence again hit two for four, but with one steal, 2 RBI and one run. Kristie Kulesa (Steinhope, NJ/Lenape Valley) started on the mound for Etown and got the loss.

Elizabethtown returns to action Saturday in a doubleheader on the road against Richard Stockton. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
