ETOWN SWEEPS JUNIATA, 8-3 AND 7-4, IN CONFERENCE DOUBLEHEADER

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA --- Following a pair of victories by scores of 8-3 and 7-4 over Juniata Saturday, Elizabethtown's record now stands at 7-7 overall and 3-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth.

Etown opened the first game swinging, pounding Juniata for six runs in the first inning. Michelle Casserly (Sussex, NJ/High Point) batted three for three with a double, one run and two RBI for the Blue Jays. Pitcher Kristy Nowell (Wilmington, DE/St. Elizabeth) went the full seven innings for her third win of the season.

Elizabethtown came from behind a 4-3 seventh inning deficit to win the second game. Seven different Blue Jays scored runs in the game, and no one scored more than once. Etown also stole six bases in the game. Kristie Kulesa (Steinhope, NJ/Lenape Valley) went the distance on the mound for a complete game win.

Elizabethtown returns to action on the road against Susquehanna Tuesday, April 4 for a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader. Game time is 2:30 p.m. for the first game.
