ALBRIGHT SWEEPS ETOWN, 2-1 AND 7-5

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown was swept by Commonwealth Conference rival Albright in a doubleheader at home Saturday. The Blue Jays fell in the first game 2-1 and lost the second 7-5. With the losses, Etown falls to 7-11 overall and 3-3 in the conference.

Etown scored its only run in the bottom of the seventh inning, when pinch runner Lindsay Bowe (Quarryville, PA/Solanco) scored on a passed ball. Emily Marcheski (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) led Etown at the plate by hitting two for three.

Albright capitalized on a six-run sixth inning to win the second game 7-5. Michelle Casserly (Sussex, NJ/High Point) led Elizabethtown with two runs scored, and she hit one for two. Jess Robinson (McSherrystown, PA/Delone Catholic) hit two for three to lead the Blue Jays in hits for the game.
