Etown Jumps Out to 2-0 Start with 2-1 Win over Immaculata and 5-1 Win over Kalamazoo

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. --- Elizabethtown opened its 2001 season in Myrtle Beach, SC Monday, defeating Immaculata 2-1 and Kalamazoo 5-1.

Against Immaculata, Pam Pike (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) struck out eight and threw a complete game two-hitter to get her first win of the season. Emily Morris (Canton, PA/Canton) and Erin Malone (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) drove in Etown's runs.

Michelle Morris (Conyngham, PA/Hazleton) struck out seven and tossed a one-hitter en route to getting the win against Kalamazoo.
