Pam Pike Hurls First Career No-Hitter, Michelle Morris Tosses Four-Hit Shutout as Etown Sweeps Alvernia, 5-0 and 5-0, to improve to 8-3

READING, Pa. --- Sophomore pitcher Pam Pike (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) tossed the first no-hitter of her collegiate career Thursday as Elizabethtown defeated Alvernia 5-0 in the second game of a doubleheader at Alvernia.

In the first game, classmate Michelle Morris (Conyngham, PA/Hazleton) had a four-hit shutout as the Blue Jays defeated Alvernia 5-0 as well. Morris' win-loss record now stands at 5-0.

Elizabethtown improves to 8-3 overall with the wins as the Blue Jay hurlers held Alvernia scoreless over 13 innings.

Etown returns to action in its first home games of the season Saturday, March 16 in a doubleheader against local rival Franklin and Marshall. The games begin at 1:00 p.m.
