ETOWN FALLS TO DICKINSON IN HOME OPENER

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown lost its 2000-01 home opener to Dickinson Saturday, as the Etown women's team fell 132.5-68.5 and the men lost 142-48. With the losses, the women's team falls to 1-1 on the season and the men's team drops to 0-2. Both Dickinson's men's and women's teams improve to 2-0.

Brooke Knepper (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport) won a pair of events for Etown against the Red Devils, capturing the 200 yard freestyle in 2:04.59 and the 500 freestyle in 5:33.91. The only other victory for the Blue Jay women came from sprinter Sarah Bradley (Mount Pleasant, PA/Mount Pleasant), who won the 50 freestyle in 25.91 seconds.

The Etown men had a pair of victories as Jon Fortin (West Hartford, CT/William R. Hall) won the 100 yard breastroke in 1:08.34 and freshman Scott English (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) won the 50 freestyle in 23.06 seconds.

Elizabethtown returns to action on the road against Washington and Jefferson Saturday, November 18. Meet time is 1:00 p.m.
