Elizabethtown Sinks Ursinus, Men's Team Wins 85-66, Women's Team Wins 113-90, Casey Moore Sets Ursinus Pool Records

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown's women's swimming team improved to 4-7 and the Blue Jay men's swimming team is now 3-7 following a pair of road wins over Ursinus Tuesday night. The Etown women won 113-90, and the men won 85-66

Sarah Bradley (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant) won both the women's 200 yard freestyle in 2:05.92 and the 100 freestyle in 57.27. Also winning a pair of events for the Etown women was Christinia Blaha (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth), who won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:39.12 and the 200 individual medley in 2:27.54. Joanna Hyde (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland) won the 500 yard freestyle in 5:52.65. Kristen Kuc (Camp Hill, PA/Trinity) won the 50 yard freestyle in 26.68 seconds and placed second behind Bradley in the 100 freestyle in 58.42. Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won the 200 backstroke for Etown in 2:25.06.

In the men's events, Casey Moore (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:45.52 and the 500 yard freestyle in a season-low time of 4:55.17. Both of Moore's winning event times were pool records. Garth Semple (Marietta, OH/Mercersburg Academy) won the 200 individual medley in 2:12.92 and the 200 backstroke in 2:13.10. Also winning events for the Blue Jays were Timothy Matlack (Burlington, NJ/Holy Cross) in the 200 butterfly and Sean Donovan (Springfield, PA/Springfield) in the 1000 freestyle, with times of 2:35.15 and 12:28.59, respectively.

Elizabethtown's women's team will return to action as host of Juniata Saturday, January 26 for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
