ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE SWIMMING Etown Women Sink Millersville, 128-119 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown's women's swimming team won its second consecutive meet Monday, defeating NCAA Division II Millersville 128-119 to improve to 2-3 overall. Millersville falls to 0-2 in dual meets with the loss. Etown got key performances from three swimmers who each won a pair of individual events to total 54 points. Senior Sarah Bradley (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant) captured both the 200 yard freestyle (2:03.67) and the 100 yard freestyle (56.94). Sophomore Christina Blaha (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) won the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.81) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:35.62) for the Blue Jays. Etown first-year Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won both the 100 (1:05.59) and 200 yard (2:22.63) backstroke. Gish also placed second in the 200 yard individual medley in 2:23.62 to score four additional points for the Blue Jays. Also winning an individual event for Etown was Catherine Schadler (Souderton, PA/Lansdale Catholic) in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:39.86. Erin Eisenhofer (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) won a pair of events for Millersville, as did Emily Lunde (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills). Eisenhofer took the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:28.39 and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:35.33. Lunde won the 50 yard freestyle (26.72) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:02.79). At Elizabethtown, Pa. |
