Elizabethtown Falls to Western Maryland, Women Lose Close 107-96 Meet, Men Defeated 103-79

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown's women's swimming team fell to 2-4 overall and the men's swimming team fell to 1-4 with a pair of losses to Western Maryland Tuesday night. The Blue Jay women fell in a close 107-96 meet, and the men lost by a 103-79 score.

Scott English (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) won a pair of races for the Blue Jay men. English won the 50 yard freestyle in 23.12 seconds, and he took the 100 yard freestyle in 51.02 seconds. Casey Moore (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) won the 200 yard freestyle for Etown in 1:48.41, and he finished second in the 500 freestyle in 5:02.27.

In the women's meet, Kristen Kuc (Camp Hill, PA/Trinity) was the only Blue Jay to win an individual event, taking the 50 yard freestyle in 26:53. Etown did win both the 200 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle relay, though, in times of 1:59.59 and and 1:49.48.

Elizabethtown returns to action at home Saturday, December 8 against Middle Atlantic Conference rival Lebanon Valley for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
