Etown Splits Dual Meet With MAC Rival Susquehanna, Men Fall 97-77, Women Win 126-77

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown hosted Middle Atlantic Conference rival Susquehanna in a dual meet Tuesday night, and while the Etown women won 126-77, the Blue Jay men fell by a final score of 97-77. The Blue Jay women improved to 4-8 in dual meets with the win, while the Etown men dropped to 2-8.

Stacey Limbach (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) won a pair of events for the Blue Jay women, taking the 1000 yard freestyle in 12:08.48 and the 500 yard freestyle in 5:44.80. Kristen Kuc (Camp Hill, PA/Trinity) won the 50 yard freestyle in 26.43 seconds, and Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:20.60. Jodie Bachman (Turnersville, NJ/Washington Twp.) won the 200 yard butterfly for Etown in 2:35.89, Stacey Benton (Duncansville, PA/Hollidaysburg) won the 100 yard freestyle in 59.37 seconds, and Christina Blaha (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:32.06.

In the men's events, Scott English (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) won the 50 yard freestyle in a season-best time of 22.69 seconds, as well as the 100 yard freestyle in 51.51 seconds. Casey Moore (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:03.38 and the 500 yard freestyle in a season-low time of 5:00.38.

Etown will return to action on the road Wednesday, January 29 at Lycoming in a 7:00 p.m. meet.
