Etown Falls to York on Road

YORK, Pa. --- Elizabethtown's men's and women's swimming teams fell to 0-2 in 2002-03 with losses on the road to York College Wednesday night. The Blue Jay men fell 103-65, while the Etown women lost 120-85.

In the men's events, Etown junior Scott English (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) won both the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle with respective times of 23.23 and 51.71. Freshman Brian Thudium (Harleysville, PA) won the 1000 yard freestyle for Etown in 11:50.01, and he won the 500 freestyle in 5:39.26.

In the women's events, Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won two races, the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 backstroke. Unfortunately, the times available this evening are too illegible to provide. Stacey Limbach (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) won the 1000 yard freestyle in 11:39.91 for Etown, and Christina Blaha (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.39.

Etown returns to action on the road Saturday against Washington & Jefferson in a 1:00 p.m.
