McDaniel Sweeps Elizabethtown, Women Fall 65-30, Men Drop 72-20 Meet

WESTMINSTER, Md. --- McDaniel, formerly known as Western Maryland, swept Elizabethtown in a dual meet Tuesday night. The Blue Jay men fell on the road 72-20, while the women lost a 65-30 meet.

Scott English (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) was the only Etown men's swimmer to win an event, taking the 50 yard freestyle in 22.85 seconds. Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won the 100 yard backstroke in 1:06.08, and Cristen Cumor (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) won the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:14.91. They were the only Etown women's swimmers to win events.

Elizabethtown will return to action in the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, which runs from Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8.
