Blue Jay Swimmers Compete at Franklin & Marshall Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. --- Several Elizabethtown College swimmers competed at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday. The Etown women scored 107 points to place ninth, while the Etown men did not place in team scoring. Team scoring at the meet, however, was irrelevant, as Etown only sent a handful of swimmers to compete in a select few events.

Christina Blaha (Killingworth, CT/Haddam-Killingworth) posted Etown's top performance of the invitational, placing second out of 32 competitors in the 100 yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 1:09.67. Blaha also placed tenth in the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:37.46.

The invitational was Etown's final event of the first semester. The Blue Jays will return to action in the make-up of Saturday's snowed out meet against Washington College, which will be held at home Tuesday, January 13 at 6:00 p.m.
