ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE SWIMMING Elizabethtown Falls to University of Scranton in Dual Meet, Men's Score 117-72, Women's Score 114-80 SCRANTON, Pa. --- Elizabethtown was swept on the road by Middle Atlantic Conference rival University of Scranton in a dual match Saturday afternoon. The Etown men dropped a 117-72 match, while the Etown women fell 114-80. On the women's side, Etown swimmers posted victories in four consecutive individual events in the middle of the meet. Kristen Kuc (Camp Hill, PA/Trinity) started off the streak with a win in 26.53 seconds in the 50 yard freestyle. Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) followed with a win in the 200 individual medley in 2:20.54, and Keeley Trumbo (Jeffersonville, PA/Great Valley) won the 200 butterfly in 2:21.64. Molly Campbell (Mountville, PA/Lancaster Catholic) followed with a 58.44 second victory in the 100 yard freestyle. On the men's side, the 400 yard medley relay team of Jason Rose (Ft. Washington, PA/Upper Dublin), Daniel McGuigan (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville), Darren DiObilda (Coatesville, PA/Malvern Prep.) and Brian Thudium (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) began the meet with a win in 3:57.70. Thudium went on to win the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:23.79. Etown will return to action on the road Tuesday, February 1 at Widener University in a 6:00 p.m. dual meet. It will be the final dual meet of the season leading up the the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships February 11-13. at Scranton, Pa. |
