Elizabethtown Ends Dual Meet Season with Losses To Widener

CHESTER, Pa. --- Elizabethtown ended its dual meet season with a pair of losses to Middle Atlantic Conference rival Widener University on the road Tuesday, with the Etown women falling 108-82 to end the dual season 2-13 overall and the Etown men falling 105-59 to end the dual season 2-11 overall.

In the women's races, Holly Gish (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) won two contested events for the Blue Jays, taking the 200 yard individual medley in 2:20.29 and the 200 backstroke in 2:19.67. Keeley Trumbo (Jeffersonville, PA/Great Valley) won another contested event, the 200 yard butterfly, for Etown in 2:18.06.

In the men's races, Etown swimmers won two contested events, with Timothy Matlack (Burlington, NJ/Holy Cross) taking the 1000 freestyle in 11:21.76 and Darren DiObilda (Coatesville, PA/Malvern Prep.) winning the 200 yard butterfly in 2:19.87.

Etown will return to action at the MAC Championships February 11-13 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
