ETOWN WOMEN PICK UP SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN, 117-87, AT WASHINGTON; MEN FALL, 127-56 CHESTERTOWN, Md. --- Jackie Zimmerman (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson), Lindsay Texter (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) and Heidi Yoder (North Manchester, In.) each won three events to lead the Elizabethtown women to a 117-87 win over Washington (Md.) in non-league action on Tuesday. With the victory, the Blue Jays won for the seventh straight meet and improved to 8-2 on the season. On the men's side, the Shoremen defeated Elizabethtown, 127-56, to drop the Blue Jays to 4-4 on the year. Jon Fortin (West Hartford, Ct./William H. Hall) picked up Etown's lone win with a time of 1:53.88 in the 200-yard freestyle. Swimming for the first time in six weeks, the Blue Jay women won the night's first five events and nine of 11 overall to avenge one of its three losses from a year ago. Brooke Knepper picked up a pair of wins for Etown while teammate Sarah Bradley chipped in with a win in the 50-yard freestyle. Etown returns home for the first time since December 5 when the Jays host Franklin & Marshall College on Friday, January 22. Meet time is 7 p.m. Team Scores
