ETOWN WOMEN DEFEAT F&M, 107-98, FOR EIGHTH STRAIGHT WIN; BLUE JAY MEN FALL TO DIPLOMATS, 118-61ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown women captured nine out of 11 events en route to their eighth straight victory, a 107-98 decision over Franklin & Marshall (3-5) in non-league action on Friday. With the win, the Blue Jay women improved to 9-2 on the season. On the men's side, F&M downed the Blue Jays 118-61 for its fifth straight win. Jon Fortin captured the 100 freestyle in a season-best time of 51.32 while Brian Serapiglia won the 50 freestyle for Etown, which fell to 4-5 on the season. Jackie Zimmerman led the way for the Blue Jay women, posting a national B-cut qualifying time of 2:25.65 in the 200 breaststroke and also picking up wins in the 200 individual medley and 400 medley relay. Heidi Yoder and Lindsay Texter were also triple winners for Etown. Texter's winning time of 56.46 in the 100 freestyle was a season-best. Brooke Knepper added wins in the 500 freestyle and 400 medley relay for the Blue Jays while teammate Sarah Bradley took the 50 freestyle in a time of 26.15. Stephen Michaels and Stephen Miller led the way for the F&M men with three wins apiece. It was the fifth meet in which Michaels has won at least two events. Etown returns to action on Saturday, January 23 at King's College against FDU-Madison and the host Monarchs. Meet time is noon. Men: Franklin & Marshall 118, Elizabethtown 61
