ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE SWIMMING
ETOWN WOMEN WIN 12TH IN A ROW AND 13TH OVERALL, 127-79 OVER SUSQUEHANNA; MEN FALL TO CRUSADERS, 117-79ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Jackie Zimmerman (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and Heidi Yoder each won three events to lead the Elizabethtown women to a 117-79 victory over Susquehanna in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday. With the win, the Blue Jay women improved to 13-2, tying the program record for victories in a season.Zimmerman, a six-time All-American, posted season-best times of 1:01.35 in the 100 butterfly and 1:06.54 in the 100 breaststroke. Lindsay Texter (Lititz, Pa./Warwick), Brooke Knepper, Ashley Hendrickson and Sarah Bradley captured two wins apiece to help Etown run its program-record winning streak to 12 straight meets. On the men's side, Ben Voelker and Steve Fisher were both triple-winners as Susquehanna defeated Etown, 117-79. Jon Fortin posted a pair of victories, including a season-best 1:53.39 in the 200 freestyle, and Michael Hyde captured the 500 freestyle as the Blue Jays fell to 6-7 on the season. The Etown swimmers return to action on Saturday, February 6 at home against the University of Scranton. Meet time is 1 p.m. Men: Susquehanna 117, Elizabethtown 79
