ETOWN WOMEN WIN PROGRAM-RECORD 14TH MEET, 111-94, OVER SCRANTON; ROYALS EDGE BLUE JAY MEN, 103-90

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown women set a program record with their 14th victory of the season on Saturday, a 111-94 decision over Scranton in Middle Atlantic Conference action.  With the win, the Blue Jays improved to 14-2 and increased their program-record winning streak to 13 straight meets.  The previous mark of 13 wins in a season was set in 1996 and 1998.
Heidi Yoder, Sarah Bradley and Brook Knepper were each triple-winners to lead the Blue Jay women to their historic victory.  Yoder captured the 200 backstroke with a personal-best and NCAA B-cut qualifying time of 2:11.13 while Knepper posted a season-best time of 5:27.74 in the 500 freestyle.
Jackie Zimmerman also turned in a pair of victories, winning the 200 breaststroke and teaming with Yoder, Bradley and Kathy Weldin to help Etown win the 400 medley relay.
On the men's side, Etown captured six of the 11 events, but lost to Scranton, 103-90.  Jon Fortin and Paul Contino each won three events as the Blue Jays fell to 6-8 on the season.  Contino posted a person-best time of 2:14.51 in the 200 butterfly and also won the 200 individual medley.  Fortin won the 100 and 200 freestyles and teamed with Contino, Michael Hyde and Brian Serapiglia to capture the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:30.93.
Etown wraps up its regular season on Tuesday, February 9 at Widener University.  Meet time is 7 p.m.  The MAC championship meet is slated for February 19-21 at Widener.
