DICKINSON CAPTURES PAIR OF WINS OVER ETOWN IN JAYS' FIRST ACTION OF 1998-99; YODER POSTS "B" CUT TIME IN FIRST MEET ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Both Dickinson swimming teams improved to 2-0 with victories over Elizabethtown on Friday. The Red Devil men stopped the Blue Jays, 104-90, while the women defeated Etown, 108-97. Etown newcomer Heidi Yoder posted an NCAA 'B' cut qualifying time of 2:11.29 in the 200-yard backstroke in only her second collegiate race. Freshman Sarah Bradley also made an immediate impact, posting victories in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races for the Blue Jay women (0-1). Etown also got wins from six-time All-American Jackie Zimmerman in the 200-yard breaststroke and Lindsay Texter in the 200-yard freestyle. The Dickinson women trailed 95-93 after ten events but the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Holly Gerhart, Amy Getz, Melissa Shannon and Jana Thompson posted a victory in the night's final event to give the Red Devils the victory. Paul Contino posted a pair of victories in his first collegiate meet to lead the Blue Jay men's effort. Jon Fortin, Brian Polaski and Brian Serapiglia also collected victories as Etown fell to 0-1 on the season. Men's Team Score: Dickinson 104, Elizabethtown 90
