ETOWN WOMEN PICK UP SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN, 71-24, OVER WESTERN MARYLAND; MEN DEFEAT GREEN TERROR, 53-41 WESTMINSTER, Md. --- The Elizabethtown women won ten of 11 events en route to a 71-24 win over Western Maryland in non-league action on Tuesday. With the win, the Blue Jays won for the sixth straight meet and improved to 7-2 on the season. Brooke Knepper, Lindsay Texter and Heidi Yoder all won three events to pace the Blue Jay women. Sarah Bradley posted a pair of victories in the winning effort. On the men's side, five different Blue Jays won their individual events to lead Etown past the Green Terror, 53-41. The men improved to 4-3 on the season, one more victory than they recorded during the entire 1997-98 season. Rob Sowers, Brian Serapiglia, Paul Contino, Jon Fortin and Brian Polaski all won single events to key the winning effort. Both Blue Jay squads return to action after the mid-year break on Tuesday, January 19 at Washington (Md.) College. Meet time is 7 p.m. Team Scores
