ETOWN WOMEN FINISH FOURTH, MEN SEVENTH, AT MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- Elizabethtown’s women’s team finished fourth with 221.5 points, and the men’s team finished seventh with 159.5 points at the three day long 2000 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, hosted by Susquehanna University, Sunday.

Brooke Knepper (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport) won the 1650 yard freestyle in a time of 18:37.11. Sarah Klaiber (Hazelton, PA/Hazelton) finished second in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:03.86, and Sarah Bradley (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant) took third place in the 50 yard freestyle in 26.04 seconds. Lindsay Texter (Lititz, PA/Warwick) finished fourth in the 200 yard individual medley with a final time of 2:20.93.

Paul Contino (Flourtown, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) finished third in the men’s 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:39.40. Jon Fortin (West Hartford, CT/William H. Hall) finished fifth in both the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke with times of 2:08.53 and 1:04.16, respectively.
