ETOWN DEFEATS WESTERN MARYLAND, MEN WIN 104-72, WOMEN WIN 75-65

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Elizabethtown men’s and women’s swimming teams defeated Western Maryland Tuesday. The 75-65 victory was the men’s first of the 1999-2000 season, and the women’s 104-72 win was their third.

The women’s team garnered a first place finish in every non-exhibition event. Lindsay Texter (Lititz, PA/Warwick) had a pair of first place finishes in the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly. Sarah Bradley (Mt. Pleasant, PA/Mt. Pleasant) also had two firsts in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.

Jon Fortin (West Hartford, CT/William H. Hall) had two firsts for Etown in the men’s 100 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.

Elizabethtown returns to action at home against Lebanon Valley at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11.
