CENTENNIAL CHAMPION GETTYSBURG BLANKS ETOWN, 3-0

GETTYSBURG, Pa. --- Gettysburg posted a 15-0 opening game win and rolled to a 3-0 victory over Elizabethtown in regional action on Wednesday.  With the loss, the Blue Jays fell to 2-3 on the season.

Patti Criscuolo led Etown with six kills and five blocks while teammate Sarah Zampitella notched five kills and five digs against the defending Centennial Conference champions.

Kristen Maguire led the Jays with 13 assists while Sarah Klunk pitched in with a team-high seven digs on the defensive side of the net.

Etown returns to action on Tuesday, September 15 at Lebanon Valley College in the MAC Commonwealth League opener for both teams.  Match time is 7 p.m.
