ETOWN FALLS TO MARYMOUNT, RALLIES TO BEAT ALLENTOWN AT GOLDEN DOME INVITATIONAL; JAYS FINISH 7TH AT RUTGERS-NEWARK TOURNEY

Etown dropped a 3-1 decision to Marymount for the second straight Saturday, but recovered to edge Allentown, 3-2, to clinch seventh place at the 12-team event.  The Blue Jays opened the tournament on Friday with a 3-0 victory over NJIT and a 3-0 loss to SUNY-New Paltz.

Sarah Klunk led the Blue Jays with 21 kills on the afternoon while teammate Patti Criscuolo added 20 kills during the two games.

Kristen Maguire, who earned a spot on the all-tournament team, collected 39 assists in the come-from-behind win over Allentown, which included a 17-15, rally-point victory in the decisive game five.

Etown returns to MAC Commonwealth League action on Tuesday, October 6 at home against Susquehanna University.  Match time is 7 p.m.
