ETOWN LOSES TO WIDENER, 3-0
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown (1-11) lost to Widener, 3-0, Wednesday night in its second MAC Commonwealth Conference match of the season. The Blue Jays are now 0-2 in conference play.
Widener started the match with a bang, winning the first two games 15-6 and 15-3. The third game was much closer, as Widener won 15-12.
Pacing the Blue Jays included Dawn Johns (Baltimore, MD/Lansdowne) with 11 kills and two service aces, Kim Mulderig (Sayville, NY/Sayville) with seven digs, and Kate Maynard (Moodus, CT/Nathan Hale Ray) with fourteen set assists.
The Blue Jays return to action Friday when they host the Blue Jay Classic Tournament. Match time for the first match is 4:00 p.m.
