MIXED DAY FOR ETOWN WITH LOSS TO BAPTIST BIBLE, WIN OVER DICKINSON; MARYMOUNT WINS BLUE JAY CLASSIC

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown finished its Blue Jay Classic tournament with an exclamation point Saturday, trouncing Dickinson 15-3, 15-5, 15-5 and gaining its second win of the season.  The day began, however, on a lower note, as the Blue Jays lost to Baptist Bible, 8-15, 5-15, 2-15.   Marymount won the tournament Saturday by defeating Scranton and Susquehanna, and Scranton finished second with a victory over Susquehanna.

Cheryl Cybulski (Elkton, MD/Elkton) led the Jays with 18 kills for the day, including 12 against Dickinson.  She also had two blocks against Baptist Bible and totaled six service aces for the day.

Dawn Johns (Baltimore, MD/Lansdowne) racked up six service aces against Dickinson, and Kate Maynard (Moodus, CT/Nathan Hale-Ray) led the team with 28 assists for the day.

The Blue Jays return to action Wednesday, September 29 at home against Messiah.  Match time is 7:00 p.m.
