ETOWN FALLS TO MESSIAH, 3-0

GRANTHAM, Pa. --- Elizabethtown suffered a 3-0 road loss to Commonwealth Conference foe Messiah Wednesday. With the loss the Blue Jays are now 5-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference, while Messiah improves to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in the Commonwealth.

Elizabethtown stuck close in the first and second games, losing 15-12 and 15-9, but fell 15-5 in the third game. Emily Morris (Canton PA/Canton) led Etown with seven kills and nine digs.

Etown returns to action as host of the Blue Jay Classic Tournament Saturday, September 30. Participating schools include Rutgers-Newark, Susquehanna and Villa Julie.

Etown will take on Rutgers-Newark and Susquehanna will play Villa Julie at 10:00 a.m., with the championship and third-place matches to follow at 1:00 p.m.
